As organizations face increasing demands for transparency, accountability, and statutory compliance, effective procurement, disposal, and contract management strategies have become essential.
This workshop provides practical guidance on strengthening internal controls, managing procurement risks, and developing effective procurement and disposal strategies in alignment with Trinidad and Tobago's Public Procurement Act and regulatory requirements. Participants will explore how strategic procurement can drive value, support innovation, improve contract outcomes, and enhance organizational performance.

CURRICULUM
What you will be able to do.
- Develop procurement strategies for high-value, low-value, and hybrid procurement scenarios.
- Formulate procurement management strategies covering retention, disposal, contract management, compliance, and requirements definition.
- Apply best practices in Category Management and Framework Agreements.
- Identify, assess, and manage procurement risks through effective planning, monitoring, and control.
- Manage contract-related risks while balancing stakeholder needs and risk exposure.

FACULTY
Who teaches this.
Mr Nyron Mohammed
Specialisation: Supply chain and operations management
Experience: He has over three decades of experience in Supply Chain and Operations Management, progressing from an entry-level associate to a skilled managerial expert. His diverse background includes roles in Services, Manufacturing, Process Plants, Public Service, Service-related fields, and Consultancy.
Qualifications and/or Designations: He holds two master’s degrees—one in Supply Chain and Logistics, and another in Finance, both with distinction from the University of the West Indies (UWI). Additionally, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and earned a BBA in Industrial Management.
