Module 1

Maintenance is the work of ensuring that an asset is kept in proper condition and remains reliable to perform its functions. With the growing importance of facilities management comes the need for a deeper understanding of maintenance management.

Managing Health, Safety and the Environment

Facilities managers have a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of a building's occupants and users, and are key to an organisation's emergency response and disaster recovery.

Module 3

Project Management for Facilities Professionals

Facilities professionals are asked to manage a myriad of tasks simultaneously, including projects large and small that must be looked after to ensure business continuity.

Module 4

Facilities Design & Space Planning

Facilities represent some of an organisation's most substantial capital investments and operational costs, and those costs are significantly affected by design and space planning.

Module 5

Financial Analysis for Facilities Professionals

Facilities managers must evaluate, develop and present analysis to select between competing alternatives, sell their projects, and prepare operating and capital budgets.

Module 6

Module 7

Cost

What the programme costs.

Programme fee

TT$10,000

per person, with a 10% group discount for groups of three or more.

Payment plan

Payment plan available: four payments of 25%.

Project assignment

On completion of all modules, participants individually work on a Facilities Management Project connected to a company of their choosing. The project is reviewed and graded by the Faculty Lead.

Who teaches this programme.

Vaughn Halliday

Lead Faculty

A management executive specialising in facilities and project management, with a career spanning over 25 years in both the operational and strategic aspects of facilities and projects. An International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Qualified Instructor and ProFM Instructor, and a founding member of the Trinidad and Tobago Chapter of IFMA, where he serves as Immediate Past President. He holds an M.Sc. in Project Management, a B.Sc. in Management Studies and an Associate Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, along with ProFM, PMP, CFM, FMP, SFP, Prosci Change Management, AssocRICS and LEED Green Associate credentials.

Elizabeth Furlonge-Khan

Quality Management

A seasoned quality management consultant with a background spanning various industries, with expertise in implementing quality systems, conducting audits and driving process improvements. She holds a Master's degree in Production Management and is certified in Quality Management.

Dr Balraj Kistow

International Business, Accounting and Finance

Lecturer in international business and accounting and finance, and Programme Director for the Master of Small and Medium Enterprise Management. He holds a Doctor in Business Administration from the Lok Jack GSB, with doctoral work focused on social responsibility within family businesses, and has over 20 years in teaching and research.

Dana Solomon

Project Management and Strategy

An independent project management and strategy consultant for public and private sector organisations, with over twelve years' field and managerial experience in the oil and gas and construction industries. She holds an MBA, an M.Sc. in Health, Safety and Environment and a Master Certificate in Project Management, and is NACE certified under the CIP programme.

The training methodology comprises techniques that emphasise participation and interactive learning in an adult learning environment. Delivery uses presentations, videos, case studies and group exercises, with facilitators drawing heavily on contemporary examples of facilities management challenges.
